Uruguayan President Lacalle Pou’s Approval Rating at 45% in Recent Study
A recent study by pollsters Cifra revealed that Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou has a 45% approval rating as of August, nearing the end of his term. However, his approval rating dropped by 2% compared to the previous month, with a 40% negative image also reported.
While Lacalle Pou maintains 85% support within his own party, his approval rating within the ruling Multicolor alliance only stands at 48%. Opposition party voters disapprove of his performance, but swing voters show more acceptance.
Compared to previous presidents, Lacalle’s ratings fall slightly below, but his prospects for the 2029 elections remain uncertain. The coming months will play a crucial role in determining Lacalle Pou’s political future in Uruguay.
