Sources deny reports of IRGC top commander martyrdom in Beirut – Politics news

Reports of the martyrdom of Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Fallahzadeh, the deputy commander of the IRGC Quds Force in Beirut, were dismissed as “pure lies” by informed sources, refuting fake reports by Israeli media. The Israeli military conducted airstrikes on Beirut, claiming it was a “targeted strike” despite causing the deaths of at least 11 people and injuring 66 others, including five children.

Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen TV reported that a drone fired missiles on Dahiyeh suburb, while the NNA stated that an F35 jet struck residential areas. Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned the attack, emphasizing the disregard of the Israeli enemy for humanitarian and legal considerations by targeting populated areas in Beirut’s southern suburbs.

The incident highlights the ongoing tensions in the region and the impact of military actions on innocent civilians. It is a stark reminder of the consequences of conflict and the necessity for diplomacy and peace-building efforts to prevent further tragedies.
