Greek airline Aegean Airlines will discontinue its flights between Skopje and Sarajevo as of November 29th, just over a year after launching operations between the two cities.
The decision to cancel the route, without providing a reason, comes as a surprise to travelers who were anticipating continued service between the capitals.
Initially planning a robust schedule, the carrier has now halted ticket sales beyond November, leaving passengers with limited options for travel between Skopje and Sarajevo.
Aegean Airlines’ move to discontinue the flights marks the end of a brief period of connectivity, which had not been seen in over a decade since the previous airline ceased operations between the two cities.
In addition to this route, the airline also plans to reduce frequencies on other routes, signaling a shift in its overall flight operations strategy.
