Syrian Ambassador to the UN Condemns Israeli Aggression and Western Support
Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Qussay al-Dahhak, recently addressed the Security Council on the escalating dangers facing the region due to Israeli occupation crimes and aggression. He emphasized that the occupation’s persistence is enabled by the unwavering support and immunity provided by the United States and other Western countries.
Al-Dahhak condemned the recent air aggression in Hama Governorate, resulting in casualties and severe damage to infrastructure. He reiterated Syria’s right to self-defense and determination to reclaim the occupied Golan Heights.
Despite the challenges, Syria continues to improve humanitarian conditions and collaborate with the UN for sustainable solutions. The ambassador urged Western countries to refrain from politicizing humanitarian aid and lift coercive measures against Syria.
Al-Dahhak warned against the proliferation of terrorism, attributing its sustenance to US and ally support. He highlighted the threat posed by extremist ideologies to Syrian and regional security.
Overall, the ambassador’s speech underscored Syria’s commitment to defending its sovereignty, combating terrorism, and seeking international cooperation for peace and stability in the region.
