Woman Survives Python Attack in Thailand
A 64-year-old woman in Thailand had a terrifying encounter with a massive python while doing her evening dishes. The snake coiled around her, squeezing her to the floor of her kitchen as she cried for help.
It wasn’t until a neighbor heard her screams that authorities were called. Police and animal control officers managed to free her after a two-hour ordeal with the snake.
Despite suffering several bites, the woman appeared unharmed after the incident. Thailand has a history of encounters with snakes, with 26 deaths from venomous snake bites reported last year.
The reticulated python, the largest snake in Thailand, can grow up to 6.5 meters and weigh up to 75 kilograms. While attacks on humans are rare, they do happen occasionally.
Encounters with wildlife like pythons serve as a reminder of the diverse and sometimes dangerous wildlife that coexists with humans.
