Israel takes out 10 Hezbollah leaders, including Ibrahim Aqil, in Lebanon

Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon’s capital Beirut killed 10 senior Hezbollah commanders, including Ibrahim Aqil, head of the Radwan Unit. The strike targeted Radwan’s operations network, killing nine and wounding 59 people.

This comes after previous attacks on Hezbollah members and the killing of Fuad Shukr in July. Aqil had a $7 million bounty on his head from the United States.

Hezbollah retaliated with rocket fire, targeting Israeli intelligence headquarters. The White House urged Americans to avoid Lebanon. The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has escalated, causing concern for further intensification.

The Israeli military held meetings after the airstrikes, postponing Prime Minister Netanyahu’s trip to the UN General Assembly.

The Iranian embassy condemned the attacks in Beirut. The situation remains tense as both sides retaliate. The aftermath of the airstrikes continues as rescue teams search for survivors.

This renewed conflict could potentially lead to widespread devastation in the region.
