Six soldiers were martyred while 12 terrorists were killed in intense encounters in North and South Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.
Security forces successfully thwarted the infiltration attempt of seven terrorists at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan, eliminating all of them and seizing a significant amount of weapons and explosives.
In a separate incident in South Waziristan, five terrorists were killed in an attempted attack on a security forces checkpoint, resulting in the martyrdom of six brave soldiers.
The government recently designated the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as “Fitna al Khawarij”, emphasizing their commitment to eradicate terrorism from the country. The recent surge in attacks against security forces reinforces the need for ongoing sanitization operations in these areas.
These sacrifices of our soldiers serve as a testament to their bravery and determination in safeguarding the nation from terrorist threats.
