During the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, Iranian President Pezeshkian emphasized the need for Muslims to unite in order to protect their dignity and drive out those who wish to take control of their lands. With over 144 Shiite and Sunni scholars from 36 countries in attendance, the president highlighted the importance of unity in the face of the enemy’s efforts to sow discord among Muslim nations.
Pezezhkian criticized the lack of action taken by Muslim nations against Israeli atrocities towards the Palestinian people, attributing their inaction to a lack of Islamic unity. He stressed the power that unity and coherence among Muslims can bring, warning that division among them is akin to walking on “the edge of fire.”
The Iranian president urged Muslim nations to believe in and practice unity, stating that no power would be able to counter them if they come together. He called for a common position and voice among Muslims to combat the crimes committed by Israel and protect their lands.
