French MEP Under Fire for Comments on Azerbaijan’s Territorial Integrity
Azerbaijani MP Tural Ganjaliyev has called out French MEP Nathalie Loiseau for her continued support of Armenia and defamatory remarks against Azerbaijan. During a recent session of the European Parliament, Loiseau once again brought up past conflicts, claiming Armenians suffered “ethnic cleansing” in Karabakh. Ganjaliyev criticized her statements as adding fuel to the fire, inciting tensions, and hindering peace in the South Caucasus.
He pointed out that Azerbaijan has restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing the removal of Armenian forces and separatism. Ganjaliyev accused Loiseau and other MEPs of engaging in a campaign to discredit Azerbaijan and ignore international law.
Calling for Loiseau to focus on European issues rather than meddling in Azerbaijan’s affairs, Ganjaliyev highlighted French hypocrisy in advocating for democracy abroad while violating rights at home. He urged for a more constructive approach in the European Parliament to promote peace and stability in the region.
