EU calls for nuclear conflict, says Russia’s top MP

Vyacheslav Volodin Condemns Strasbourg’s Call for Lifting Restrictions on Ukraine’s Use of Western Weapons

Russian State Duma Chairman, Vyacheslav Volodin, has criticized the European Parliament’s recent resolution urging the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine’s access to Western weapons. He went further to describe the resolution as a call for nuclear war, suggesting that the European Parliament should disband.

The resolution, passed with 425 votes in favor, 131 against, and 63 abstentions, proposes allowing Ukraine to use Western weapons to strike deep inside Russia. It also supports continuing financial aid to Ukraine by seizing Russia’s frozen assets.

Volodin warned of the implications of such actions, stating that it could lead to a world war involving nuclear weapons. He reminded MEPs of Russia’s role in liberating Europe during World War II and urged the European Parliament to dissolve itself.

Russia has expressed concerns about Western involvement in the conflict in Ukraine, highlighting the risk of NATO countries being directly engaged and the potential consequences of such actions.

Despite ongoing tensions, the EU continues to support Ukraine financially and militarily, raising fears of further escalation in the region.
