Poland could receive up to €5 billion, while the Czech Republic mobilizes funds to address flood damage. Despite flood defenses holding in Wroclaw, authorities warn of continued high water levels. Additional support from the EU Solidarity Fund will aid in infrastructure restoration.
The situation in Hungary’s towns facing rising Danube River levels is also monitored. Prime Minister Viktor Orban anticipates peak water levels lower than the 2013 record.
