Although challenges with US-based Westinghouse have surfaced, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala sees the construction of a new nuclear plant as a transformative opportunity for strategic and economic cooperation between the two countries. The Czech government hopes to achieve a 60% participation rate from Czech companies in the project.
The final contract is set to be signed around March next year, with Prime Minister Fiala planning a visit to South Korea to further discuss and solidify the bilateral cooperation on the new nuclear plant project. This visit is anticipated to pave the way for successful implementation and progression of the joint efforts.
