Bharat Gogavale, a loyalist of Shinde, named as MSRTC chairman
Shiv Sena MLA Bharat Gogavale has been appointed as the chairman of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, a government-run service. This decision comes ahead of the Assembly elections and is seen as an effort by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to appease his party’s legislators. Gogavale will hold the rank of a minister, according to the government resolution.

In a similar move, Sanjay Shirsat, another Sena MLA and strong supporter of Shinde, was appointed as the chairman of CIDCO, while party leader Anandrao Adsul was made chairman of the Maharashtra State Scheduled Caste and Tribes Commission.

Both Gogavale and Shirsat had expressed their desire to become ministers in the Shinde-led government but were not included in the cabinet. These appointments serve as a way to accommodate their aspirations within the party structure.
