The Sultanate of Oman has allocated OMR 50 million to support private-sector employment programs, emphasizing the importance of creating sustainable job opportunities. Sultan Haitham bin Tarik led a Cabinet meeting where key decisions were made to boost employment, education, and economic development.
Additionally, OMR 72 million was allocated for the family support benefit program under the Social Protection Fund, showcasing the government’s commitment to social welfare. The Council also approved OMR 40 million for the construction of new schools to cater to the growing student population, highlighting the focus on improving educational infrastructure.
Sultan Haitham bin Tarik praised the reduction in public debt and approved the National Program for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Digital Technologies to enhance Oman’s technological advancement. This initiative aims to boost the country’s AI capabilities and support local tech companies in developing innovative solutions.
