Tragic Accident at Wisconsin Apple Orchard Leaves Multiple Injured

A field trip to a Wisconsin apple orchard took a horrifying turn when a tractor rollover left at least 17 people, including children, injured. The incident occurred at Bushel and a Peck Apple Orchard in Lafayette, Wisconsin, where two hay wagons being pulled by a tractor flipped over.

According to Chippewa Fire District’s Deputy Chief Corey Jeffers, three patients suffered life-threatening injuries, five had serious injuries, and nine were transported by ambulance. One patient had to be airlifted, while others were taken to the hospital in personal vehicles. Authorities did not provide details on the specific injuries.

Chippewa County Sheriff Travis Hakes stated that the wagon lost control while going downhill, resulting in the abrupt rollover. Hakes emphasized the importance of focusing on victim safety and reuniting children with their parents during such distressing incidents.
