Minister of National Development Liu Chin-ching addressed the speculation during a visit to Tokyo, mentioning, “As far as I know, it hasn’t been decided yet.”
Currently, TSMC, the world’s second-largest semiconductor manufacturer by market capitalization following Nvidia, has recently completed a facility in Kikuyo, Kumamoto Prefecture, which is set to commence full operations by the year’s end.
