Ukraine’s missile deal angers Russia; Kyiv vows to produce more weapons | Russia-Ukraine conflict News

Russian officials have made conflicting statements regarding how Moscow would respond to Western weapons striking deep inside its territory. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov claimed that Ukraine had approval for such attacks but did not provide concrete evidence. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy denied having received any permission for deep strikes into Russia.

The US has allowed Ukraine to use its weapons for counter-battery fire but there have been no reported instances of Ukraine using such weapons to strike inside Russia.

‘This war will affect everyone’

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned that a nuclear conflict would impact the US, while the Russian Ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that deep strikes with Western weapons could trigger a NATO-Russia war. Amidst these tensions, Ukraine launched a strike inside Russia using its own weapons, showcasing its growing defense capabilities.

Ukraine vows to boost defense industry

Ukraine is rapidly developing its defense industry to increase production capabilities and reduce reliance on Western supplies. The country has unveiled innovative drone technologies and is expanding its artillery production to enhance its military strength against Russia.
