To reach this goal, Spain requires additional support through subsidy programs. While on track to reach 5 GW by 2030, the nation’s progress falls short of the target. Recent projects like the Puertollano green hydrogen plant exemplify Spain’s commitment to the sector, signaling promising growth in the next decade. Significant government support and funding initiatives, including a €2.3 billion subsidy package, position Spain as a key player in the global hydrogen market.
