Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy criticized PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, suggesting they could be charged with treason over the Ladakh border issue with China. Swamy claimed that Modi and Shah denied China’s encroachment on 4046 sq kms of Ladakh territory since April 2020. He warned them of facing treason charges once the truth is revealed.
Swamy also demanded severing India’s Ambassador-level ties with China after reports surfaced that the Chinese PLA had intruded 60 km into Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh. He questioned if Modi was betraying the country and called for breaking diplomatic relations with China.
Additionally, Swamy previously stated that if Modi did not retire by his 75th birthday, he would be removed from his position through other means. He reiterated this stance on social media, emphasizing the need for Modi to honor his commitment to retire in line with RSS principles.
