Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently met with Iva Petrova, the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Armenia. Their discussion focused on the importance of cooperation with the IMF for the economic development and stability of the country.
They delved into various economic policies such as budgetary, monetary, and currency policies, as well as tax policy and administration. Petrova commended Armenia’s progress in financial sector reforms, improving the investment environment, and other areas that support economic growth.
Pashinyan stressed the government’s commitment to maintaining macroeconomic stability and fostering long-term economic development through consistent steps and reforms. The meeting highlighted the ongoing partnership between Armenia and the IMF in advancing economic goals and ensuring financial stability.
