Pakistan strongly denounces the recent terrorist attacks in Lebanon, carried out through the use of electronic equipment. The Foreign Office spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, expressed Pakistan’s deep condolences to the victims and their families, as well as to the Government of Lebanon. The attacks are seen as a result of Israel’s aggressive actions in the region, endangering peace and security. Pakistan reaffirms its support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and calls for international accountability for Israel’s acts of terrorism and violation of international law.
In addition, Pakistan condemns Israel’s airstrikes on a UNRWA-run school in Gaza, labeling it as a horrific massacre. The ongoing attacks on civilian targets, including refugee camps, are contrary to the ICJ’s provisional measures aimed at providing essential services to the Palestinians in Gaza. Pakistan urges the full implementation of the ICJ’s advisory opinion, emphasizing the illegal nature of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories and the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people. Pakistan also welcomes the UN General Assembly Resolution to take action based on the ICJ’s advisory opinion, co-sponsored by the state of Palestine and Pakistan.
