The call to sever ties with Israel due to their human rights violations against Palestinians has gained momentum. At an event, Professor Ishaq Lakin Akintola urged for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador to Nigeria in response to the atrocities committed. He emphasized the need for Nigeria to take a stand against the injustices faced by millions of Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli regime.
Additionally, human rights activist Femi Fani Kayode highlighted the importance of speaking out for the liberation of Palestine, regardless of religious affiliation. He condemned Zionism for promoting supremacy and domination in the Middle East, urging unity against such ideologies.
The event also saw the presence of Grand Mufti Sheikh Zhikrullah Shafi’i, who inspired participants to support the cause by chanting slogans for a free Palestine. The collective message was clear – solidarity is crucial in standing up against the violations of human rights and advocating for justice in the region.
