LHC blocks arrest of Salman Akram Raja

LAHORE: Lahore High Court Protects PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja from Arrest Till Monday

The Lahore High Court has issued a temporary order preventing authorities from arresting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja until Monday. Raja had filed a petition in court, claiming that political-motivated cases were being filed against him without providing details.

The court has instructed to disclose the information regarding the cases and inquiries against the PTI leader and asked for a response from the Punjab government and other parties involved. This decision comes after PTI filed a petition to safeguard its workers from unjust arrests before a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore scheduled for September 21.

The party members, Sheikh Imtiaz and Yasir Gillani, highlighted the violation of the workers’ constitutional right to assemble peacefully. They requested the court to intervene and prevent any arrests before the rally. PTI is gearing up to hold a significant rally in Lahore, advocating for their rights and agenda.
