KE denies CEO’s claim on license cancellation

K-Electric Clarifies Misinformation Regarding License Cancellation

In response to recent reports circulating in the media, K-Electric has debunked claims of its CEO discussing the cancellation of the company’s license. The spokesperson emphasized that there was no such discussion, branding the reports as false.

During a Sindh Assembly Special Committee meeting, K-Electric CEO, Moonis Alvi, addressed concerns about load shedding in the province. He acknowledged the issue but clarified that the company does not determine electricity rates. Alvi highlighted that areas with high theft experience more load shedding, while regions with minimal theft are spared from power outages.

Committee members expressed apprehensions about K-Electric’s operations, with concerns raised about the company’s handling of consumer complaints and justification for load shedding based on theft. Despite these concerns, K-Electric reiterated its dedication to providing uninterrupted services to customers.

The company remains committed to its mission of delivering reliable electricity to the people of Karachi, dispelling any misleading information suggesting otherwise.
