An Israeli citizen has been indicted for his involvement in an Iranian assassination plot targeting top Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Shin Bet internal security agency revealed that the citizen was recruited by Iranian intelligence to carry out terrorist activities on Israeli soil and promote assassination attacks on key figures.
The Israeli had traveled to Iran twice, and it was suspected that the plot was in retaliation for the assassination of a top Hamas leader in an explosion in Iran. The Israeli was promised 5,000 euros for the job, but he demanded a million dollars before taking any action.
This incident comes in light of recent bomb plots linked to Hezbollah in Tel Aviv, further highlighting the complex web of Middle Eastern political tensions. It remains unclear whether the indicted Israeli was connected to these bomb plots.
