Iran’s President Condemns Israel’s “Treacherous Mass Assassination” in Lebanon
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his condolences to Lebanon following the casualties caused by exploding telecommunications devices orchestrated by Israel. In simultaneous explosions, thousands of pagers and walkie-talkie radios belonging to Hezbollah members detonated, resulting in over 30 fatalities and 3,250 injuries.
Pezeshkian condemned the attacks as a “treacherous mass assassination” and assured that justice will be served. He affirmed Iran’s support for Lebanon and called for international organizations to intervene. The terrorist attack, believed to be a collaborative effort between the Israeli military and Mossad spy agency, has sparked outrage and vows of retaliation from Hezbollah.
Experts suspect that Israel manipulated the communication devices to contain explosives, activated through coded messages, in a bid to target Hezbollah while evading surveillance. The attack has raised concerns of a new era of war, as Israeli minister Yoav Gallant hinted at the regime’s involvement.
Amid the unfolding crisis, the Iranian president extended prayers for the victims’ families and urged divine retribution against the perpetrators. The incident underscores escalating tensions in the region and the urgent need for peace and justice.
