Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah condemned deadly Israeli attacks on his group’s communications equipment, calling them a major blow and a potential war crime. The attacks left 37 people dead and 3,000 wounded in Lebanon, sparking fears of a full-scale conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
Israel has not directly acknowledged the attacks, which are believed to have been orchestrated by the Mossad spy agency. Nasrallah accused Israel of trying to kill 5,000 people and destabilize Lebanon, but maintained that Hezbollah’s structure remained intact despite the devastation.
The situation escalated with Hezbollah firing missiles at Israel following a cross-border attack by Hamas. Tensions have heightened with constant exchanges of fire, though both sides have refrained from escalating to all-out war.
