In response to an online report alleging that Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, was plotting to dethrone Emir Muhammadu Lamido Sanusi of Kano, Chief Oliver Okpala has dispelled these rumors. The report claimed that powerful individuals in Kano, led by Ganduje, were orchestrating the removal of Emir Sanusi.
However, Chief Okpala stated that these claims were false and that Ganduje has no involvement in any plans to dethrone or enthrone an Emir in Kano. He emphasized that Ganduje, no longer the Governor of Kano, has moved on to focus on national issues as the leader of the APC. Okpala also highlighted Ganduje’s achievements during his tenure as Governor of Kano, dismissing the allegations as preposterous and absurd.
He urged the sponsors of the report to cease their attempts to tarnish Ganduje’s reputation and emphasized his respect for both the President and the national leader of the APC. Okpala concluded by stating that Ganduje’s leadership has elevated the APC’s standing and positioned him as a true nationalist, not embroiled in traditional or sectional politics.
