In a recent decision, the Canton Sarajevo government has approved a 3.40 increase in the net hourly wage, as reported by Senad Sadiković, president of the Health Workers’ Union. While this increase falls short of their initial request for 3.70, the union sees any raise as a positive development, particularly considering that wages have been raised four times in the past two years.
The protest tent outside the Government building will remain in place until the Government’s conclusions are formally signed.
Today, over a thousand health workers gathered for a protest march organized by the Health Workers’ Union of Sarajevo Canton, calling on the CS Government to raise the net hourly wage to 3.70 BAM. Previously, the government had offered 3.25 BAM, prompting the Union President to urge both parties to find a mutually beneficial compromise.
