Ukrainian drone destroys Russian weapons depot, SBU claims

Russian Weapons Depot Explosion Update: In a daring move, Ukrainian drones successfully targeted a weapons depot in Russia’s Tver Oblast, causing a massive explosion and widespread destruction. The attack, orchestrated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), targeted a warehouse storing ballistic missiles, Iskanders, anti-aircraft missiles, artillery ammunition, and guided bombs.

Footage shared on Russian Telegram channels showed the aftermath of the attack, with a large plume of smoke rising from the site in the town of Toropets. Tver Oblast Governor Igor Rudenya confirmed the incident, stating that a fire had broken out but was “under control.” Residents in the area were evacuated as a precaution.

According to the SBU source, the attack successfully eliminated a significant portion of the Russian Defense Ministry’s missile and artillery stockpile. Plans are underway for similar attacks on other Russian military facilities to cripple their capabilities.

Despite Russia’s claims of downing 54 Ukrainian drones, the attack in Tver Oblast went unnoticed in their official report. This bold move marks a strategic step in Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression.
