Tver region in Russia plagued by ‘Horror’ after massive drone strike

A sensational drone attack launched by Ukraine on Russia resulted in a massive explosion at a major arsenal in the Tver region, causing the evacuation of a nearby town as reported by war bloggers and media outlets. Social media was flooded with unverified videos and images showing a colossal ball of fire lighting up the night sky, with multiple explosions echoing across a lake located about 380 km west of Moscow.

The NASA satellites detected intense heat sources spread over approximately 14 square kilometers at the site, while earthquake monitoring stations registered tremors resembling a small earthquake in the vicinity.

The governor of the Tver region, Igor Rudenya, confirmed that Ukrainian drones were shot down, leading to a fire outbreak and subsequent evacuations. The situation was eventually brought under control with no reported casualties. The drone attack reportedly targeted a warehouse storing an arsenal of missiles, guided bombs, and artillery ammunition.

Both Russia and Ukraine reported numerous drone attacks overnight, escalating tensions in the region.
