According to a senior Lebanese security source and another insider, Israel’s Mossad spy agency strategically planted explosives inside 5000 Taiwan-made pagers purchased by Hezbollah. This led to a devastating series of detonations that resulted in casualties, including the death of nine people and injuries to nearly 3,000 individuals, including Hezbollah fighters and Iran’s envoy in Beirut.

The explosive devices were concealed within the pagers, which were ordered by Hezbollah as a means of communication to avoid Israeli surveillance. The detonations were triggered when a coded message was sent to 3,000 pagers simultaneously, activating the explosives. The pagers were modified by Israel’s spy service at the production level to facilitate this plan.

Hezbollah, known for its retaliation threats, vowed to respond to Israel’s covert operation. The incident marked a significant security breach for Hezbollah, causing chaos and casualties within its ranks.
