Official Govt boosts SCZONE investment infrastructure efforts

Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, Walid Gamaleddin, emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing the SCZONE’s infrastructure to meet global standards. Speaking at the Egypt-UK Investment Forum in London, Gamaleddin highlighted the SCZONE’s 4 industrial zones and 6 seaports, positioned on the Mediterranean and Red Sea.

He emphasized Egypt’s focus on developing a state-of-the-art infrastructure to transform the SCZONE into a hub for green fuel industries. With a vision to deepen international economic cooperation, Gamaleddin outlined the SCZONE’s competitive investment environment, targeting 21 industries aligned with market demands.

Gamaleddin also discussed attracting international companies to the SCZONE, offering incentives like a strategic location, skilled labor, and streamlined licensing processes. He mentioned plans to establish the automotive industry within the zone.

During the forum, Gamaleddin engaged with companies in steel, modern building materials, water treatment, and communications to explore potential collaborations in SCZONE projects.
