Beautiful Lebanon was left somber following a massive Israeli cyberattack that struck the country, leaving thousands injured. Schools and universities are closed, and a general strike is in place to honor the victims. The attack, which resulted in chaos and fear, left the nation vulnerable and exposed.
Journalist Joanna Nasreddine described the attack as a crime that affected civilians and military personnel indiscriminately. The scenes outside hospitals were reminiscent of the Beirut port explosion, with victims seeking medical assistance for injuries caused by exploding wireless devices.
The attack has created panic among the Lebanese, especially regarding the use of inverters and mobile devices. The state of fear has prompted calls for caution and vigilance in the face of potential further attacks.
The unprecedented nature of the attack has left many questioning the motives and implications. Political analyst Hussein Ayoub emphasized the need for unity and strategic reassessment in the wake of the attack, urging a return to traditional means of defense against technological threats.
The attack has triggered a wave of solidarity and support from Palestinian groups and hospitals in Lebanon, highlighting the need for collective resilience in the face of external aggression.
