Greece is taking steps to enforce a ban on mobile phones in schools. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis revealed plans to introduce designated lockers at some schools to help students comply with the ban.
The new rules require students to keep their phones in their bags during school hours. Those who violate this policy may face suspension or removal from classes. This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve the educational environment and combat cyberbullying.
Education Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis had previously announced measures to address online bullying. Mitsotakis, speaking at the Thessaloniki International Fair, acknowledged that there may be reactions to these changes.
