Four men found themselves in hot water after being arrested in connection with a massive drug bust in the south east of Ireland. The discovery of €7m worth of drugs, specifically 100kg of cocaine, led to their apprehension by the gardaí, with assistance from the National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
Dean Chambers, Karl Dowling, PJ Kinsella, and Wojciech Kuzio, all aged between 31 and 52, appeared before Gorey District Court to face charges related to the possession and intent to sell or supply cocaine. While the first three men were remanded in custody with the possibility of bail, Kuzio opted to remain in custody without seeking bail.
With the court date set for the following week, the outcome of this case remains to be seen. The community is left shocked by the scale of the drugs involved and the implications of such a substantial bust on the local area.
