In a recent press conference, State BJP President B Y Vijayendra emphasized his pride in being the son of former chief minister B S Yediyurappa, while also denying any sense of arrogance. He addressed concerns about senior leaders feeling sidelined, stating that his main focus is on bringing the BJP to power in Karnataka independently.
Vijayendra also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his commitment to eradicating corruption and elevating India on the global stage. He highlighted the government’s achievements in the last ten years, including the release of Rs 20,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme benefiting 9.3 crore farmers. The Ayushman Bharat scheme, providing Rs 5 lakh health insurance coverage, has been extended to all senior citizens above 70 years, benefitting over six crore individuals.
Furthermore, the Modi-led government has introduced significant changes to criminal laws and implemented various welfare schemes in just 100 days. With a vision for India to become a leading global power by 2047, Vijayendra expressed optimism for the country’s future under Modi’s leadership.
