Armenian-Austrian consultations cover diverse bilateral agenda topics

Armenian and Austrian officials recently met in Vienna for political consultations to discuss various issues on their bilateral agenda. The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, and Gregor Kösler from the Austrian Foreign Ministry led the discussions.

The talks covered topics such as strengthening political dialogue, deepening cooperation in trade, education, culture, and science, and advancing Armenia’s partnership with the EU. The Armenian side also presented their vision for sustainable peace in the South Caucasus, including a project called “Crossroads of Peace”.

Furthermore, the ongoing efforts to normalize relations with Azerbaijan, including border delimitation and the signing of a peace treaty, were addressed during the meeting. Both parties highlighted the need for continued cooperation and dialogue to address common challenges.
