During the Global Armenian Summit, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia is not seeking to reclaim its occupied territories from Azerbaijan through military means. Instead, he highlighted the importance of negotiations as outlined in the recently signed border commission regulation.
Pashinyan addressed accusations from Azerbaijan, stating that Armenia is committed to peace and upholding the UN Charter by procuring weapons for self-defense. He affirmed Armenia’s recognition of the territorial integrity of all countries in the region and clarified that Armenia does not harbor territorial claims against any nation.
While acknowledging the occupation of over 200 square kilometers of Armenian territory, Pashinyan reiterated the government’s stance on peacefully resolving the issue through negotiations facilitated by the border delimitation commission. He emphasized the importance of following the agreed regulations to achieve a diplomatic solution.
