In a series of successful operations, the Nigerian Army neutralized four terrorists in separate gunfights in Niger and Kaduna States. Additionally, 20 kidnapped hostages were rescued during a fierce shootout with terrorists in Birnin Gwari.
The troops were able to recover weapons and logistics belonging to the terrorists after eliminating them. In one operation, terrorists attempting to cross from Alawa Forest to Birnin Gwari were intercepted, resulting in two terrorists being eliminated and the recovery of weapons and motorcycles.
In another operation in Kaduna State, troops ambushed terrorists in Hayin Nakwakina village, neutralizing two of them and restoring peace to the area. Moreover, 20 kidnap hostages were rescued in Birnin Gwari after a shootout with terrorists, with the hostages being safely reunited with their families.
The Nigerian Army expressed gratitude for the public’s support in providing credible information and reaffirmed its commitment to combating terrorism and insurgency in the country.
