A wildlife hospital inaugurated in Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur district to mark the second anniversary of cheetah arrival at Kuno National Park. State Forest Minister Ramniwas Rawat opened the hospital costing Rs 2.29 crore where 12 cheetah cubs were born in the past two years. Despite setbacks with cheetah deaths, India aims to revive the species after their extinction in the wild. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released cheetahs from Namibia and South Africa into the park. The new hospital features advanced equipment for cheetah care. Minister Rawat praised the project for bringing global recognition to Sheopur district and thanked KNP employees and volunteers for their efforts. The Cheetah Mitra group plays a crucial role in creating awareness. Rawat also released the project’s annual report and a documentary on cheetahs. The KNP area has been expanded to 1,777 sq km. This initiative marks an important step in conservation efforts for the cheetah population in India.
