US Under Sec of State meets DPM Ishaq Dar

US Under Secretary of State John Bass and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Horst meet with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar

During the meeting, discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and ongoing collaboration projects between Pakistan and the United States. The importance of positive engagement was emphasized by the Deputy PM, highlighting the need for productive relations.

US Acting Under Secretary of State John Bass also met with DPM Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir to discuss expanding cooperation on economic and security issues. They talked about countering terrorism, fostering regional stability, and congratulated Pakistan on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

Additionally, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar met with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy to strengthen the Pakistan-UK partnership, focusing on regional peace and stability. Both sides expressed eagerness to collaborate on shared concerns like climate action and trade opportunities.
