Trump Blames Biden and Harris for Assassination Attempt

Former President Donald Trump is pointing fingers at his election rival Kamala Harris and US President Joe Biden following a second apparent assassination attempt on him. The suspect, identified as 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, was arrested while hiding with a rifle at the edge of Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach. Routh is being charged with illegal firearms possession, and the FBI is investigating the incident as an attempted assassination.

Trump, who was not harmed in the event, accused Biden and Harris of endangering him with their rhetoric about him posing a threat to democracy. Both Biden and Harris have denounced the assassination attempt, with Biden calling for more support for the Secret Service. The suspect, who was reportedly obsessed with the Ukrainian cause, had evidence linking him to foreign fighters’ recruitment in Ukraine.

Despite the emerging evidence, Ukrainian officials denied any connection to the suspect. The Kremlin also weighed in, suggesting a link between the attempt and US support for Ukraine. Trump’s rapid politicization of the incident further fueled tensions ahead of the upcoming presidential election.
