The Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, H E Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, recently met with the UK’s Minister of State for Trade Policy and Economic Security to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two countries. The focus was on increasing trade, investment, and negotiating a Free Trade Agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the UK.

The meeting highlighted the importance of Omani-British relations, Oman Vision 2040, and the investment environment in Oman. The UK is a significant investor in Oman, creating jobs and opportunities, while Oman has also made substantial investments in the UK, particularly in green energy.
