The Lebanese Mission to the United Nations took action after four civil defense personnel were killed by an Israeli attack on their vehicle in Froun, Nabatieh district. The mission submitted a complaint to the Security Council, condemning Israel’s repeated and unjustified attacks on relief workers and medical facilities.
In the complaint, Lebanon expressed strong opposition to these flagrant violations of human rights and international law, calling for accountability and pressure on Israel to comply with international norms. The targeted attack occurred while the civil defense team was responding to a fire sparked by Israeli shelling, highlighting the dangers faced by humanitarian workers in conflict zones.
The mission urged Security Council member states to condemn these actions and take measures to ensure the protection of humanitarian personnel and facilities in the region.
