A prominent member of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), Sani Dambo, has made a significant move by resigning from his position with Kano State governor, Abba Yusuf, to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dambo’s decision follows the footsteps of Rabiu Durun, the former special adviser on Investment to Governor Abba Yusuf, who also left his post to join the APC. Additionally, Abdulraham Mai Kadama, the senior special assistant to the governor on entrepreneurship, recently resigned from his role and switched allegiance to the APC.
Noteworthy is Kadama’s background as a leader in the Kwankwasiyya movement in Plateau State and G-6 in Kano State before his defection to the APC.
Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, welcomed Dambo at his Abuja residence, expressing pride in having such valuable additions to the APC fold. Barau emphasized the expertise that Dambo and Durun bring to the party, highlighting their commitment to supporting the APC at both state and national levels.
Barau also revealed the defection of Rabiu Alhassan Durun from Kabo LGA to the APC, commending their dedication to progress and confidence in the party’s vision for Nigeria.
