John Bass and US State Department discuss mutual cooperation in Pakistan.

The US and Pakistan Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

In a recent visit to Pakistan, Under Secretary John Bass from the US State Department discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, met with Bass in Islamabad to discuss economic and security issues, including countering terrorism and regional stability.

During the meeting, Bass expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s assistance in resettling Afghans in the United States and congratulated Pakistan on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2025-2026. The discussions highlighted the importance of positive engagement between the two countries.

Earlier talks between Bass, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Horst, and Deputy Prime Minister focused on ongoing collaboration projects and the importance of a strong relationship between Pakistan and the United States.

This visit signifies a commitment to working together on various issues and fostering a closer partnership between the two nations.
