Israeli Settlers Attack Palestinian Woman in Southern West Bank
A group of Israeli settlers, backed by occupation forces, recently launched an attack in the southern occupied West Bank, resulting in injuries to a Palestinian woman.
According to local sources, the woman, identified as a member of the Abu Malsh family, suffered injuries and bruises during the assault in the Jourat al-Jamal area of Yatta city on Monday night. She was later hospitalized in moderate condition.
In a separate incident in the village of al-Karmil, Israeli soldiers confiscated vehicles and detained individuals who tried to prevent settlers from seizing their land. The escalation of violence included masked and armed settlers attacking students and teachers at an elementary school near Jericho.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has condemned these attacks as part of an ongoing Israeli campaign of ethnic cleansing, warning of further assaults against Palestinians. The ministry attributes such violence to the official policy of the Israeli government, leading to grave human rights violations in the occupied territories.
Violence has intensified since the genocidal Gaza onslaught, with over 41,000 Palestinians killed. The attacks in the West Bank aim to strengthen Israel’s control over the region, resulting in over 700 Palestinian deaths since October 7, 2023.
