Israel blamed for device explosions injuring hundreds in Lebanon

SYRIAN MEDIA: Four people were injured, one of them seriously, as a result of the explosion on the Al-Mowasat Tunnel Road in the capital, Damascus.

IRNA (quoting the Iranian ambassador’s wife): The ambassador suffered minor injuries but is fine and is now in the hospital under observation to receive treatment.

LEBANESE MEDIA: The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon was injured in the explosions and carried to the hospital.

Hundreds of Lebanese citizens were injured in a cyber-attack when their portable communication devices exploded in various areas including South Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and Beirut’s southern suburb. Lebanon’s Ministry of Health issued an urgent alert, instructing hospitals to be prepared for emergencies and treat the injured.

Reports suggest that the explosions were the result of a sophisticated cyber-attack, with hospitals across Lebanon being mobilized to respond. The incidents were reportedly triggered by an Israeli cyber breach, causing chaos and casualties.

The escalating tensions include Israel’s interception of a Hezbollah assassination attempt against a senior Israeli security figure. Hezbollah has vowed retaliation, resulting in increased military activity and cross-border fire in the region.
