The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced the miraculous rescue of three Irish divers who were swept away by a current in Marsa Alam, Red Sea.
The divers were caught in the strong current while diving near the Brothers Islands, but thanks to the joint efforts of various state agencies and diving centers, they were found safe.
Despite being swept away 15 nautical miles from their yacht, the divers were rescued and taken to safety in Safaga and then Hurghada. The Ministry ensured their well-being by accommodating them in a luxurious hotel and providing essential items until they could be reunited with their group.
This successful rescue operation highlights the swift and effective response of Egyptian authorities in ensuring the safety of tourists and divers in the region.
